What do we offer? We focus on quality of service to our guests with a hint of luxury and have 8 years experience in Loire Valley Wine Tours. We created the 'original' Loire Wine Tour package to fit your needs back in 2004. It has often been reproduced since then but with us you will also get the chance to stay right in the heart of the vineyards. No need to be ferried backwards and forwards from your hotel for tastings. Come home after touring all day and put your feet up whilst we serve you tea or coffe with biscuits in the glorious gardens before being chauffeur driven to you evenings dining experience.
Staying at La Grande Maison also gives you the
exclusive opportunity to tour the house's own wine caves and tunnels
which are not open to the general public. The caves date back to the
17th Century when this was a working wine estate and in the tunnels you
will see carvings from the period around the 1st World War.
Our 2013 Offer to Our Returning Guests : As a thank you for our customers loyalty we have decided to maintain our 2012 wine tour pricing for returning guests in order to help you make YOUR private wine tour holiday or group wine tour more affordable. Why not bring a group of wine loving friends on a wine tour or if you have a special occasion to celebrate then bring your family and remember to always ask for our special returners rates.
Our French Loire Valley Wine Tours Our French Loire Valley Wine Tours incorporate visits to vineyards, wineries & caves where wines can be tasted, savoured, discussed with the winemaker and bought! Each visit usually takes about 2 hours so we suggest visiting just 2 or 3 per day. We recommend a trip to one of the many local chateaux or other tourist sites be included. We offer winetours and courses
to suit all abilities and tastes. We also offer a high standard of
comfortable accommodation set within the Saumur vineyards in France.
The style is informal and relaxed, fun and informative. The food is not
bad either and much of it comes from our own organic potager.
Lunch stops are included either at restaurants en route or a picnic in the vineyards or on the banks of the river Loire.

Private Guided Wine Tour with Vine AdventureWine Tours
No need for your car once you have arrived at La Grande Maison, a wine tour allowing you to fully enjoy each wine tasting safely. You are driven to each location, introduced to the owner / winemaker / viticulteur and guided through each wine and tasting. Any purchases will of course be carried back to La Grande Maison in our vehicle.
Park & Tour Scheme
Most of our wine tour guests enjoy making the best of the fantastic wine bargains that are available in the area. So travelling from the UK or Europe have you thought about bringing your own car? You can now leave it at La Grande Maison during your stay and let us take you on the wine tour? We transport the wine back to La Grande Maison for you from the wineries and store it for you during your stay. All you have to do is then drive it home! Most of our return guests come back second time round in the car so that they can transport more wine home! We are happy to make this service available to you when joining a Wine Tour.
Availability
Our aim is to offer as much flexibility as possible to our wine tour visitors. We don't have a restrictive pre-planned schedule of dates that you have to fit. We meet YOUR needs. Simply email resv@lagrandemaison.net with the length of the wine tour you would like to take, the number of people you want to come and your requested dates. If we have availability we will then schedule the wine tour just for you. Groups of two or more persons catered for.
