Put simply a beautiful house set in the heart of the vineyards serving the best in locally produced food and wine with plenty of added wine related extras to keep you amused such as wine tours, a wine library, comptoir d’objets du vin, caves and tunnels to explore, vineyard picnics, walks and trails. La Grande Maison offers a retreat for all those with an interest in wine.
Your hosts are knowledgeable in all aspects of wine production & viticulture, with wine tastings held in the caves of the house.
We can also arrange a wine tour, wine tastings & visits to the vineyards to sample :
Sparkling Saumur Wines,, Dry Whites, Reds Saumur, Saumur Champigny, Chinon, St Nicholas de Bourgeuil, Anjou Villages, Rose Wines and Dessert Wine. What other wine producing area provides such a variety and choice? The Loire AOC's have an offering for every taste, palate and pocket.
