There are numerous festivals and celebrations at all times of the year. The colour, history, traditions and culture of Anjou are always on display. This amazing human mobile band performed on the banks of the Loire at the Ponts de Ce.
The fabulous gardens and chateau at Villandry are well worth a visit and are spectacular at any time of the year.
The celebration of the new release of Coteaux de Layon in Aubigne Sur Layon. The wine is served directly from the barrel into an ancient stone trough.
Angers is home to the Cointreau Distillery & the castle where the Apocalypse Tapestries are displayed. Don’t forget the banks of the rivers the Loire, the Dive and the Thouet for an ideal picnic stop.

Morning microlite trips are also available at the weekends a short walk from the house and approximately 60 euros buys you 30 minutes high above the vineyards. For those with a sense of adventure not a fear of heights!
