Weekend Brocante Hunter Packages in the Loire Valley

Passionate about antiques and vintage items then a few days break away in the Loire Valley is the perfect escape for you? La Grande Maison d’Arthenay is your home for the weekend. It is charmingly decorated in a rustic chic style with items of brocante and antiques. Surrounded by vineyards with it’s own private walled gardens the house offers comfortably appointed bedrooms each with private en-suite and their own particular style and character.

Our Brocante Hunter packages rotate around the 4 famous monthly Brocantes in the Loire Valley close to Saumur and Chinon. They are on Sundays as follows:

1st Sunday of the Month - Montreuil Bellay
2nd Sunday of the Month - Montsoreau
3rd Sunday of the Month - Chinon
4th Sunday of the Month - Saumur / Les Rosiers sur Loire

What is included in the package?

Arrive at La Grande Maison d’Arthenay from 4pm
Welcome Drink on arrival - Tea or Coffee or Soft Drinks
Bottle of Sparkling Crémant de Loire in your room

Visit to the Brocante
A reservation at one of our recommended restaurants in each brocante location. This reservation will be made for you in advance of your stay. (Cost of lunch not included)

1st Sunday of the Month - Montreuil Bellay - L’Auberge des Isles
2nd Sunday of the Month - Montsoreau - Ver Vert
3rd Sunday of the Month - Chinon - La Part des Anges
4th Sunday of the Month - Saumur / Les Rosiers sur Loire - Le Route de Sel

Sight seeing
Return to La Grande Maison for a guided tour of the caves and tunnels, visit broc’ARThenay the Brocante at La Grande Maison and enjoy tea and cakes in the garden.
Evening - Platters of Fromage et Charcuterie with wine, overlooking the vineyards

Price : 465 euros inclusive of local taxes for two people sharing a double or twin room for 2 nights
Additional Nights on a B&B basis available 125 euros per night inclusive of breakfast (plus 1.60 euros taxe de sejour)

Coming by Train?

If you want to come without your own transport we can provide an upgrade to the package to include :

Pick up and Drop off Saumur Station
Transfer to the Brocante to and from La Grande Maison d’Arthenay
